Modern Trumpet
As a modern trumpet player, Jason Dovel enjoys playing both standard repertoire and avant-garde contemporary music, including his original compositions. He has performed on four continents including North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. In 2021 he was Visiting Professor of Trumpet at Ionian University in Corfu, Greece, and has also been a featured artist at the São Paulo Trumpet Academy, Australasian Trumpet Academy, Velika Gorica Brass Festival (Croatia), International Trumpet Guild Conference, Historic Brass Society International Conference, and at international institutions including the Uni Sant'Anna (Brazil), Queensland Conservatorium (Australia), Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (Austria), Lyon Conservatory (France), Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Irish Academy of Music, and many others.
